Microneedle technology offers a minimally invasive and painless way to rejuvenate skin and improve its appearance. Also called collagen induction therapy, this procedure uses fine needles that essentially create holes in the dermis to create small channels that stimulate collagen production, fill in fine lines and give the patient a younger look.
Skin becomes tighter. Added blood flow promotes growth of new cells, which means that every time you have the treatment, you’ll see improvement in the target area. For many years, doctors have used this therapy to approve the appearance of all types of scars resulting from acne on the face, upper back and chest to burn and cutting scars. The procedure is even ideal for the pitted scars left by chicken pox or acne.
More recently, doctors have used this procedure to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, thereby giving the patients a more youthful appearance. Usually, services are applied on a 12-inch by 12-inch area, which may remain red for an average of four to 12 hours after the procedure. Some patients may experience a sunburn–like look or sensation on the treated area for up to 24 hours after treatment is completed. We recommend that you do not use a sauna, hot tub, sunbed or sit outside for a full day after your procedure.
Non-invasive chemical peels deeply exfoliate skin and accelerate cell regeneration to give patients smoother, softer and younger-looking skin. Light and medium-grade peels can minimize fine lines, lighten age spots and even-out blotchy skin tones and reduce acne.
Our office performs two types of chemicals, a light or lunchtime peel and a medium peel, which has a longer recovery time. The light peel uses a mild acid to exfoliate the outer layer of skin and is used to refresh the face, neck, chest or hands. There is no downtime with this procedure, allowing patients to return to work immediately. The medium peel uses a stronger acid to penetrate the outer and middle layers to remove damaged skin cells. This treatment targets age spots, fine lines, freckles, freckles and moderate skin discoloration.
A photofacial is a 30-minute procedure that uses intense pulses of light to penetrate deep into the skin. This treatment rejuvenates the skin through specially selected light waves that cause collagen and blood vessels below the epidermis to constrict to reduce redness and fine lines. Photofacials are an effective way to to treat fine lines, minimize large pores, sun damage and freckles, which fade or disappear a few days after treatment.
Most clients liken the feeling of the treatment to a rubber band snapping your skin or a warm massage. Prior to the procedure, you’ll receive a set of goggles to protect your eyes. A cool gel is applied to the treatment area and the hand piece used to deliver the light pulses. Several visits are usually required to attain full results.
Most people feel more confident with clean, even skin tone. Skin can darken due to a variety of reasons that can result from medicine or melasma, the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy or excessive sun exposure resulting in patchy discolorations. Skin bleaching works by reducing melanin in the skin. When the medication is applied to hyper-pigmented areas, melanin production is disrupted, allowing the skin to lighten.
For our bleaching service, we prep your skin with a cleanser, perform microneedling and finally apply Bleach Bum cream. Lighting often takes several sessions to achieve. Skin bleaching is appropriate for areas such as the labia (vaginal lips), elbows, knees, underarms, anus, butt crack and scrotum.
Think of it as a butt facial for your hindquarters. Our Cheek Glow treatment helps get rid of pimples, ingrown hairs and exfoliates dry skin. Irritations often occur on hard-to-reach and hard-to-see areas of the body. You need to take care of the skin on your butt cheeks just like you do with the skin on your face. Cheek Glow applies some of the same principles because your butt cheeks deserve attention too.
During a Cheek Glow procedure, the surface of your butt will undergo cleansing along with a chemical exfoliant to remove dead skin cells. Next, your butt cheeks will get a microdermabrasion treatment to remove dead and discolored skin. The procedure ends with application of a vitamin serum and moisturizer.
Those tiny pearl drops of skin attached to your body known as skin tags are a common nuisance. As you age, they can become increasing common and irritating, although they are not dangerous. Some skin tags can grow very large due to constant rubbing.
We remove skin tags with a Lam Probe that cuts the skin tag off at its base, causing you to feel a brief pinch. Afterward, you will have a small scab and redness at the site for three to 14 days depending on the skin tag’s size. There is no downtime with this procedure.
